Bryan Massey is a partner whose practice centers on helping clients obtain and protect intellectual property rights, with deep experience in patent prosecution, trademark protection, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, and IP litigation. He has represented a broad range of clients—from individual inventors to major corporations including Boeing, TaylorMade Golf, IBM, Microsoft, Western Digital, Amphenol, and Cummins.

 

Bryan earned his J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School in 2004, where he served on the Journal of Small and Emerging Business Law and graduated with an Intellectual Property Certificate. During law school, he analyzed issued patents as a strategic business development and licensing specialist at Intel Corp. and clerked at Klarquist Sparkman, LLP, one of the largest IP law firms in the Northwest, where he continued as an associate from 2004 to 2008.

 

Prior to law school, Bryan earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, graduating cum laude, and gained engineering experience with Easton Aluminum and Parametric Technology Corporation. He has served on the council of the Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar and has been recognized as one of Utah’s “Legal Elite” by Utah Business Magazine in multiple years.

 

Bryan frequents golf courses and volleyball courts across the state of Utah, and also enjoys fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his family in the mountains.
