Dan Gutierrez is a partner whose practice focuses on representing venture capital and private equity firms, mezzanine debt lenders, and private companies on a wide range of corporate and finance matters. He advises clients on financing transactions, acquisitions, and general corporate matters across a wide range of high growth industries.
Throughout his career Dan has been actively engaged with the San Diego startup ecosystem, including prior involvement with the Startup Leadership Program, Evonexus, and the Founder’s Institute. Prior to joining MBL (formerly KB&A), he was a senior attorney at the San Diego office of Cooley LLP.
Dan holds a B.S. in Cognitive Science (specialization in Human-Computer Interaction) and Economics (specialization in Management Science) from UC San Diego, and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
