Marty Tate is a nationally recognized securities, finance, and fintech attorney with more than 25 years of experience counseling clients across the U.S. and internationally. His practice covers structured finance, private and public securities offerings, crowdfunding, digital assets, fund formation and compliance, SEC reporting, real estate financings, fund formation and compliance, business formation, and corporate governance.
Since 2009, Marty has been at the forefront of advising clients in the crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending space, with a particular focus on the JOBS Act and exempt offerings under Regulation D, Regulation CF, and Regulation A. He has also structured the formation of more than 100 domestic and offshore funds across a variety of asset classes and regularly advises investment managers and advisors on state and SEC compliance.
Marty earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia in 1999 as a Morris B. Abrahms Scholar and his B.A. in Political Science and Spanish, with honors, from the University of Utah.
Marty is the father of four and is an avid backcountry skier, mountaineer and cyclist. He is also a music lover and aspiring artist and writer.
